Mustard Glazed Meatloaf

Cooking Time: 1 hour & 15 minutes
 Servings: 6 persons


 Ingredients
1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  ½ teaspoon sage
 2 eggs, large, lightly beaten
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 onion, small, chopped finely
  ½ cup milk
12 saltine crackers, crushed
 ½ teaspoon dry mustard or 1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons minced parsley
  1/3 cup mushrooms, fresh or sweet green pepper, chopped finely
¼ teaspoon black pepper
  1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
 ½ teaspoon salt

 Directions

1-Preheat your oven to 350 F/175 C. Combine ground beef together with the milk, crackers, onion, green pepper or mushrooms, parsley, eggs, sage, black pepper & salt; mix well. Shape the mixture into a loaf, preferably 8x4” & then place it in a large shallow baking pan.

2-Bake until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 170 F/85 C, for an hour.

3-Combine brown sugar together with the mustard & lemon juice in a small bowl. Spread the mixture evenly on top of the meatloaf & put it again to the oven & bake for 10 minutes. Serve hot & enjoy!
