Ingredients
3 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup onion, minced
2 pounds ground beef
¾ cup bread crumbs, fresh
1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
2 eggs, large, lightly beaten
1 ½ teaspoons salt
Directions
1-Preheat your oven to 350 F/175 C in advance.
2- Combine beef together with the onion, bread crumbs, eggs, pepper & salt in a large size bowl, mix well. Pat out the meat mixture into a rectangle, preferably 14x18” on wax paper. Spread the cheese over the meat mixture (leave ¾” border around the edges). To enclose the filling & form a pinwheel loaf, roll up the jelly roll fashion.
3- To include the cheese, press the beef in on both ends. Place in a baking dish, preferably 10x15”.
4-Bake until the internal temperature reflects 160 F/ 80 C, for an hour.
