Asian Meatloaf

 Prep Time:  15 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour & 15 minutes
 Servings: 8 persons

 Ingredients
2 tablespoons ketchup
 1 ½ pounds ground beef  
 3 bread slices, broken up into small pieces 
 ½ pound ground pork   
2 celery stalks, finely chopped  
 1 onion, small, finely chopped   
3 tablespoons soy sauce  
 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger  
  2 eggs, beaten lightly
 ½ cup plus
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce   

Directions

1-Preheat your oven to 175 C/350 F. 

2-Mix the beef together with pork, eggs, bread crumbs, celery & onion in a large bowl. Season with 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, ginger &3 tablespoons of soy sauce. Pat the mixture into a 2-quart shallow baking pan. 

3-Bake for half an hour or little longer.

4-  Drain the grease from pan & mix 2 tablespoons of ketchup with ½ cup of the hoisin in a bowl, preferably small size. Spread the mixture evenly over the meatloaf. Continue to bake for 20 minutes. Remove from heat & let stand for 3 to 5 minutes.
